Results differ in Asia and Europe, though both the continents had the similar top three color choices.

Above are the top five popular colors of vehicles in 2011 but emerging markets of vehicles in India and China will also influence ratio of popular car color in near future. For example the trend of “pink" or "fuchsia," is increasing in China and the export of these colored vehicles in the market of North American and European will make these colors more common.

Can color detract or add from a car’s value?

The answer is yes, particularly if you plan on grasping onto your car extended for it to achieve classic status. It is estimated that about 50 percent of car buyers make options depending on color, and 30 percent are enthusiastic to pay a little extra amount for a vehicle that states their personality through color. You will notice that everybody converses about Resale of black. Black is popular with consumers.  But all the colors are not so lucky. The other straight wisdom is that you will have a great difficulty to sell yellow.

So it is always suggested to be careful while choosing a color, specifically those in the classic car world. Choose an era color that would be considered by people an icon for that model. Your selected color should also suit to the type of the car, as darker shades work well with formal luxury vehicles.

Colors can add a huge value for some makes and models. In the era of 1960s, the muscle cars were totally valued according to their original color. No matter, the owner liked it or not, the car was more valuable in an unappealing but completely unique color scheme.

Drivers can have a strong emotional bond with their cars and color personalizes the car and takes that feeling. Think carefully that the color of the car can actually make or break the design of the car.
