World Car free Day

Every September 22, people from all around the world get together in the streets and intersections to remind the world that we don’t have to accept our car- dominated society. Because every car releases greenhouse gas into the atmosphere increasing global warming. It is an annual celebration of cities and public life, free from the noise, stress and pollution of cars. The first international car free day was organized in Europe in 1999, which was the pilot project for the European Union’s “In Town Without My Car” campaign.

i am listening for the first time car free day is exist. what a day is this. we can say the pollution free day is this. pakistan should celeberate this day.

Thnx saeed about informing me abhout this day. We are (Pakistani) are not familiar with that kind of days and celebrations. The poeple should have awareness about these.

i did't know about the car free day. i am listening for the first time . thnx to inform us about this day.how it will be great if in karachi ,lahore and islamabad we celebrate the car free day atleast 2 days a week.

I did not know such a day did exist, thank you for informing us. I think Lahore definitely needs a car free day!
